How did you enter in the franchise business?

It was part of the expansion strategy for Sandwich W Noss and after studying several models, the franchise model was chosen as the best one to follow.

Where and how did the idea for your concept come from?

Sandwich W Noss was conceived with the simple goal of bringing back the authentic Lebanese flavour in an original snack experience. The twist: when one sandwich is too little and two sandwiches are too much, we created the ideal size: a sandwich and a half.

What inspired the brand name?

The name has a double meaning. The first meaning is related to the sandwich size which means “one and a half”’ while the second part “Wnoss” is used in Lebanon in many situations as an affirming word.Sandwich noss

What is the story behind the brand logo?

We wanted to keep it authentic, that’s why we went with the Arabic font and calligraphy.

What makes your brand different from your competitors?

We offer the biggest sandwich in the market, plus we provide free drinks for all our customers.

What are the essential qualities that you look for in a franchisee?

We look at their experience and background.

How long does it take, on an average, for your franchisee to realise their investment?

It takes an average of 2.5 years to realise their investment.

What were the major challenges you faced in your career and how did you overcome it?

Moving from the nightlife business to the QSR business was a major challenge especially that this business was all about value and scale, unlike the nightlife one.Sandwich noss

 What is your best achievement?

Stretching the boundaries and breaking the rules helped me be where I am today. I think where I am today is my biggest strategic achievement.

How does your business day start?

I normally start my day with Nescafe, reviewing emails, phone calls and I follow up on my lists.

What was your best moment throughout your franchise career?

The journey of meeting people (from employees to suppliers..) and selecting the right partners (I would not call them franchisees)

Where do you see your brand in the next two years?

I would like to see the franchise successful locally and internationally.
