According to a news release, Blaze Pizza has announced the signing of two new multi-unit franchise agreements in the South Central and Mid-Atlantic regions.
This comprises a 10-unit development agreement to establish locations in Tarrant and Denton Counties of Texas’ booming Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) region. Three additional Blaze Pizza locations will be built by the expanding company in Prince George’s County, a suburb of Washington, DC, as well as in the suburbs of Maryland and Virginia.
Shehzaan Chunara, along with the Chunara Group of Companies’ operating partners Karim Vastani and Brad Rodman, are responsible for the rise of Texas. Five Blaze Pizza shops are owned by the group in Oklahoma and Arkansas.
“In today’s economic landscape, opening a franchise is a big decision and to succeed you need to have a passion for that brand and its extraordinary support system. When we were introduced to the concept of Blaze Pizza and the development team that worked behind the scenes to help franchisees like us get started, we were sold. The Dallas-Fort Worth area is booming and with our experience already operating in the market, we seized the opportunity to expand Blaze Pizza’s presence here expanding,” Chunara said in the press release. “Consumers love being able to customize their orders and Blaze does that better than anyone else. We have no doubt that the brand’s made-to-order menu and the brand’s outstanding products will resonate in the DFW communities.”
The company’s development in Prince George’s County, Maryland, is overseen by Kevyn Scott. In the state, Scott also runs two Charleys Philly Steak locations.
“As we continue to fuel our expansion efforts, we are looking for strong partners who can drive our brand forward. Kevyn, as well as the Chunara Food Group team, are the perfect example of the kind of groups we want to grow Blaze with, Ed Yancey, chief development officer at Blaze Pizza, said in the release. “From day one, it was clear they have a strong passion for the brand and our mission to provide consumers across the country with clean ingredients and customizable options. We are excited about our new franchisees and look forward to continuing their success in the coming months and years.”
More than 340 Blaze Pizza locations may be found in 38 states and 6 other countries.
