Empower Brands has expanded its home services portfolio by incorporating Koala Insulation and Wallaby Windows as sister brands. This move establishes Empower as the parent company of nine distinct brands.
“It brings two young, emerging brands to our portfolio, which helps us diversify the portfolio we have,” CEO Scott Zide said. “There are certain best practices, certain systems and processes and technology that these two brands have implemented, and had success with, that I know we can translate to our existing brands and vice versa.”
Empower formed last year when Lynx Franchising and Outdoor Living Brands merged with the mission to “grow world-class brands by unleashing unwavering determination, devotion and achievement.” Lynx acquired Outdoor Living Brands in late 2021.
This acquisition brings Empower closer to its target of encompassing 12 brands within its portfolio by the end of this year.
Empower’s existing roster of brands consists of Jan-Pro, Conserva Irrigation, Superior Fence and Rail, Archadeck Outdoor Living, Intelligent Office, Outdoor Lighting Perspectives, and FRSTeam. As a subsidiary of MidOcean Partners, a private equity firm, Empower continues to thrive.
Koala Insulation has a national presence, serving nearly 400 territories across the country. Founded in 2020 by Scott Marr, who remains dedicated to the brand, Koala Insulation shares its founder’s expertise with Wallaby, established in early 2022.
Although a relatively new brand, Koala boasts a network of over 100 franchisees operating across approximately 400 territories nationwide. Both Koala and Wallaby take pride in providing energy-saving solutions to their customers, offering a lifetime guarantee for their projects. Koala specializes in insulation installation and removal, air sealing, solar attic fan installation, and more, while Wallaby focuses on window and door replacements.
