Lush, Nickelodeon, and Paramount Consumer Products have recently unveiled a collaborative endeavor centered around SpongeBob SquarePants called “SpongeBob SquarePants: Operation Sea Change.” This global initiative focuses on ocean conservation and sustainability.
As part of this partnership, an exclusive collection of plastic-free goodies inspired by beloved characters such as Patrick Star, Gary the Snail, and the enchanting Bikini Bottom has been introduced. These items will be featured in a SpongeBob-themed box, offering fans a delightful experience while supporting eco-friendly practices.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Operation Sea Change is committed to making a significant impact. By joining forces with various non-profit organizations, the initiative aims to fund cleanup projects and educate millions of fans about the preservation of marine habitats. The ultimate goal is to remove a staggering five million pounds of ocean plastic within the next four years.
Lush encourages its customers to embrace change, whether it involves transitioning from pump hand-soaps to more sustainable alternatives or adopting plastic-free options. Together, we can safeguard the underwater home of countless creatures and foster a brighter future for our oceans.
Melody Morton, Lush Concepts Creative Director, said: “To create a plastic free range of products on behalf of SpongeBob SquarePants, a brand representing an undersea world that we are trying to protect, was a good fit for Lush. Our entire product range is 66% unpackaged.”
“Pairing colorful plastic free products of Lush with SpongeBob, while creating awareness around the clean ocean efforts is a good match” adds Veronica Hart, Executive Vice President, Global Franchise Planning and CP Marketing of Paramount.
