Pizza Factory was recently listed in the 50 Top Franchises for Women in Franchise Business Review’s 2021 report. It is a popular pizza joint in the West Coast neighbourhood that has encouraged women entrepreneurship since its inception. In fact, CEO Mary Jane Riva started as a Pizza Factory franchisee before working her way through the leadership ranks. Riva has ensured a culture that is favourable towards both women business owners and employees. 2021 continued with female leadership where another corporate member, Laura Tanaka joined as VP of Franchise Development.
“This recognition from Franchise Business Review is truly an honor,” said Pizza Factory CEO Mary Jane Riva. “After starting off as a female entrepreneur myself, I’m grateful to know that the culture we’ve worked to create at Pizza Factory is appealing to our owners. This recognition is definitely a testament to where we are as a brand today. I’m extremely humbled to see Pizza Factory continue to evolve. Given our aggressive growth plan for 2021, this award is a fantastic segue into what’s to come.”
Pizza Factory competed among 289 franchise brands, representing 8,453 female franchise owners, that participated in Franchise Business Review’s research on the Top Franchises for Women. Pizza Factory’s franchisees were surveyed on 33 benchmark questions about their experience and satisfaction regarding critical areas of their franchise systems, including leadership, training & support, financial opportunity, and work/life balance.
“Franchising provides many options to women seeking business ownership on a full- or part-time basis,” says Michelle Rowan, President and COO of Franchise Business Review. “The number of franchise opportunities available can be overwhelming, so it’s critical to examine feedback from other female franchise owners on how well the franchise meets their expectations in terms of support, work/life balance, financial opportunity, and other key areas of business ownership. When you look at the brands on this year’s list of the top franchises for women, a whopping 88% of women said they enjoyed owning and operating their own business, making them all excellent options for women looking to make the transition to owning and operating their own business.”
Pizza Factory is known for its family-friendly dining and high-quality menu. In addition, they only offer fresh, never frozen hand-tossed pizza, pasta, sandwiches and more. Their active efforts for development and growth can be seen in California, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Texas, Wyoming and Washington.
Moreover, as Pizza Factory enters this new era of growth, the company is offering a limited development incentive program including a reduced franchise fee, waived royalties for three months and more. This applies to new franchisees wanting to covert or build from the ground up.
