Pokeworks grows with tech delivery platform in the Middle East

Pokeworks, New York-born fast-casual company with Hawaiian roots, continues to dominate the poke market with their healthy, premium and customized poke. With their partnership with talabat, a top tech delivery platform in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Pokeworks will further increase their reach.

Pokeworks CEO Steve Heeley said “At Pokeworks, our goal is to bring our Poke Your Way experience to consumers everywhere. That is why we have partnered with the largest online food ordering operator in the Middle East. Our plan is to enhance our brand’s online visibility and reach while benefiting from talabat’s robust technology and large logistics network. This new collaboration with talabat will soon enable our fans to enjoy poke wherever they may be!”

Pokeworks currently has over 65 outlets spread throughout 20 states, Taiwan, and Mexico, with plans to expand into the MENA area.

Pokeworks anticipates opening 10 delivery-only facilities in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Bahrain over the next three years, beginning with Dubai in 2023, as part of its initial Middle Eastern growth. Talabat is a component of German Delivery Hero, which operates a global network of online food delivery services.

“We are thrilled to be Pokeworks’ preferred delivery partner as we expand their footprint in the Middle East,” said Vice President of kitchens at talabat Joseph Cherian. “This alliance reflects our commitment to bringing loved brands from across the region, and the world, closer to our customers. Our goal is to utilize our technology to offer both our partners and customers the same levels of ease, reliability and experience that is synonymous with talabat.”
