REEF partners with Saladworks for mobile ecosystem

Saladworks is a US based fast-casual create-your-own salad concept restaurant. Moreover, they have been in the industry for more than three decades. Their focus lies in providing healthy, fresh and create-your-own options for their clients. With the current norms for social distancing and contactless delivery, they were open to new and better ideas for growth. As a result, REEF partners with Saladworks for mobile ecosystem to drive growth mutually.

REEF and Saladworks partnership

REEF Technology is a Miami-based company. They transform parking lots and facilities into mobile ecosystems.  Which seamlessly integrate a broad range of businesses. They leverage on their real estate and technology. In other words, the mobile ecosystems will be used as their ghost kitchens. While they will be supported by third-party delivery companies nationwide. This means, they can cover a large area and more orders. Above all, their ability to prepare food on-site means fresh and healthy food.

Each site offers a menu of featured items. This includes Saladworks’ create-your-own and signature salads, wraps and grain bowls.

The first REEF hub was opened in Philadelphia. Saladworks hopes to expand 17 REEF hubs in 10 cities across USA. This includes Miami, Atlanta, Houston, Austin, Dallas, Chicago, New York, Nashville, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

By the end of 2020, Saladworks plans to open 30 new restaurants and have 50 more in development.

With guests we might not have otherwise reached.”

Similarly, they are also looking at expansion through stores within stores. And locations across the likes of universities and military bases. In addition, the current rise in health conscious consumer behaviour has contributed to the rapid expansion of Saladworks. They are now ranked number 22 among this year’s Top 100 Fast Casual Movers and Shakers.

“In this age of social distancing, consumers are leaning on delivery and minimal-contact options,” said Roddy. “These mobile ecosystems allow us to meet those needs. And scale the Saladworks concept quickly, efficiently and for a fraction of the cost. Which is a win-win for everybody.”
