The award-winning biscuit brand, Rise Southern Biscuits & Righteous Chicken, will be available in San Diego thanks to a franchise agreement inked by Rise Southern Biscuits & Righteous Chicken. Jason Kasid, a franchisee in San Diego, is in charge of the deal. He has over 25 years of experience running a family business in the convenience store sector and was attracted to Rise due of its tech-enabled and straightforward operations. With probable locations in Downtown San Diego, Mission Valley, Pacific Beach, and the vicinity of SDSU College, Jason intends to open at least five Rise shops.
Jason says: “Rise has developed an operating model that allows entrepreneurs like me the opportunity to own an easy-to-operate business with the full training, marketing and operational support from the corporate team. I’m excited to bring the nation’s most in-demand chicken and biscuit concept to the San Diego market.”
Ken Priest, CEO of Rise, says: “We’re so excited to welcome Jason to the Rise family and partner with him to grow our tech-enabled concept rooted in Southern food, hospitality and culture in a market like San Diego, where we know it will thrive. Jason knows how to run a successful business and is the ideal franchisee to make Rise a SoCal success story.”
Rise now operates 17 restaurants across seven states, and it has more than 100 additional units under construction in significant markets from coast to coast. To support the brand’s national expansion, the fast-casual franchise continues to draw seasoned and experienced new franchisees.
