In a recent announcement, Barberitos Southwestern Grille and Cantina and Zoup! Eatery have been acquired by WOWorks and will now be part of their healthy food brands.
WOWorks is the owner of Saladworks, Frutta Bowls, Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh and The Simple Greek.
Barberitos Southwestern Grille and Cantina is a Southwestern fast-casual burrito, taco, bowl and salad concept and customers can customize their order with their own choice of protein and toppings. The brand is committed to being 100 per cent natural, and serves locally sourced, farm-fresh ingredients in its meals. The brand was founded in Athens, Georgia in 2000, and now has 50 franchised and four corporate locations to its name.
Zoup! Eatery is a fast-casual brand that offers high-quality soups, broths, salads and sandwiches. The brand offers 12 rotating daily soups to keep customers interested and the menu innovative. The brand was founded in 1998 and has 67 franchise locations, and a single corporate-owned restaurant. The brand is largely situated in northern mid-central states and Ontario, Canada.
Zoup! Eatery will join the WOWorks family of brands, but Zoup! Specialty Products, LLC, will continue to operate separately, headed by Eric Ersher, the founder and previous CEO of Zoup! Systems, LLC.
