Xponential’s First Female only fitness studio in KSA

Founded in 2017 by Anthony Geisler, Xponential Fitness has a diversified portfolio of eight boutique fitness brands spanning across fitness and wellness verticals – including Pilates, indoor cycling, stretch, rowing, dance, running and yoga. Xponential‘s First Female only fitness studio in KSA, is part of Xponential’s plan to integrate with the existing gyms in Saudi Arabia as a new growth strategy.

John Kersh, Chief International Development Officer said “It has to be a unique circumstance for us to consider something like what we’re doing in Saudi Arabia. Our expansion strategy is built on the fact that we’re not from there. So we look to our partners for local market expertise.”

Saudi Arabia is opening up to the world

Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman had introduced Vision 2030 to expand Saudi Arabia’s economy. Subsequently brothers Mohammed and Sultan Alhokair researched about the changing consumer trends. As a result, they found that the ladies fitness and cinemas had tremendous scope for growth and expansion.

The Alhokair brothers own the Evox Club concept. Five brands of Xponential is now open within the Evox Ladies Fitness location in Riyadh. This includes Club Pilates, Pure Barre, CycleBar, YogaSix and AKT. In the next 6 months, they are opening four more Evox units with 16 Xponential studios planned within.

“Ladies fitness was only just introduced in Saudi Arabia,” he said of the decision to forego individual locations of each Xponential concept. “So we’re in a state of educating the market. How it’s good for your well-being, good for your mental health.” Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Sports has also undertaken similar messaging, Alhokair said.
