Arabic food is known for its distinctly delicious flavors from various spices and herbs. In this interview with Youssra Magdy – Marketing Manager, tells us about how Meat Z Chicken serves classy arabic street food in an affordable ambience. The brand is owned by 800 Food, that specialises in operating in food and beverage consultancy, restaurant management, catering and F&B operations. They have started their operations from Dubai, UAE and are looking to expand their footprint across the gulf and globally.
We made the decision to enter the franchise business when we realized that opportunity comes with global growth not just locally.
The idea of Meat Z Chicken came from visiting a lot of international restaurants across the world, by the end of the journey I have decided to blend the Arabic street food into something casual, classy and healthy. As far as I went back to Dubai and opened my first restaurant.
Combining the main ingredient of our signature recipes and preferred foods in an appealing urban friendly title, with a relatable and trendy feeling
The logo was inspired by urban graffiti art; it seeks to evoke the metropolitan spirit embedded in Arabian street food culture.
We choose the combination of yellow and color theme as yellow associated with energy and attention and green revert to growth and healthy, the brand mood is about nature and joy.
Our main source of chicken comes from our farms, and we only use organic products to maintain the quality and the taste.
We are looking for passion and persistence and someone who understands how the restaurant business works.
It depends on the size but fairly will be from 18 to 24 months.
“Change and adapting” is one thing I’ve learnt very quickly in my business field, we have witnessed Covid and how it affected the boarders, made employees work from home – at this time we had to change the method of working and adapt to the situation that everything is operating online – so we started to operate digitally.
The biggest achievement so far was being able to activate Meat Z Chicken during the covid crisis. The best achievement is yet to come.
I take my Turkish morning coffee while I browsing the global news, replying to emails, monitor the business performance by meeting with my team then I look over my agenda that I’ve planned the day before at night.
The future has stored this moment for us; we are just at the beginning of our journey
I see Meat Z Chicken brand on the global map starting from the Gulf to Europe, I’ve seen Europeans amazed by our cuisine especially the shawarma. We are aiming to have 300+ branches around the world.
Focus on setting & achieving incremental goals rather than trying to start a business and instantly build your vision of what the company should be in the years to come. Setting realistic goals and milestones is a major component of building long-term success.
