Unlock your full potential at CRYO Stay Young

Cryotherapy means cold therapy. In other words, in this method, the body is exposed to extremely cold temperatures for a few minutes. This may include a part or the entire body. A few would also say that it helps you stay healthier and younger. And it is advisable to always start your journey on cryotherapy with the experts. You can unlock your full potential at CRYO Stay Young, who are experts at this innovative therapy. In this interview, Benny Parihar – Founding Partner, CRYO Stay Young, shares his dream of helping everyone be their best version using cryotherapy.

1. How did you enter the franchise business?

After a few years of operating our successful cryotherapy centers, we were starting to get inundated with requests for partnerships and franchises. It was clear to us that through franchising we could help improve the lives of so many more people than we could on our own. It allowed our partners who were usually entrepreneurs, to achieve business success through our innovative technology and fairly simple business model.

2. Where and how did the idea of your concept come from?

cryo

In 2013, Parihar was training to climb Mount Kilimanjaro during which he injured himself. Through the recovery process, his friend and now business partner Kai Stubbe recommended that he try cryotherapy to accelerate his recovery process. Doing so cut his recovery period from 12 weeks to 6 weeks, it was then that Benny was convinced about the many benefits of cryotherapy and decided to bring the treatment to the masses. That was the birth of °CRYO!

3. What inspired the brand name?

cryo cryo

CRYO in greek means cold. Cryotherapy is the science of exposing the body to sub-zero temperatures of up to -140°C in order to stimulate multiple physical and mental health benefits.

We believed if we could own the word CRYO and domain ‘www.cryo.com’ we would have a strong brand name.

4. What is the story behind the brand’s logo?

We knew that simplicity was the key factor. Because the idea of the treatment of freezing yourself is quite novel… It was important that we had something clean and crisp, which could be relatable right away.

5.What makes your brand different from your competitors?

°CRYO as a brand is for people who wish to optimize their health and unlock the potential of their bodies non-invasively. We are a global brand that truly understands what our client wants and delivers the most effective and safest cold therapy due to our integrated research facilities (°CRYO Science) and dedication to the advancement of the science of cryotherapy.

6. What are the essential qualities that you look for in a franchisee?

When we look at new markets and regions we always look for potential partners that are team players, looking for results, understands data/ trends, willing to learn more about the science behind all of the modalities that we bring forth, genuinely interested in the benefits of cryotherapy and has the financial aptitude.

7. How long does it take, on average, for your franchisee to realize their investment?

From our in-depth research we have found that new franchisees realize their investment on average in about 18 months.

8. What was the major challenge you faced in your career, and how did you overcome it?

As the cryotherapy industry grew exponentially across the globe. So did the need of having safe and efficient technology products being manufactured by innovating R & D partners. After unsuccessfully scouring the globe for such a manufacturing partner, °CRYO realized that they would have to launch their 3rd division of manufacturing – °CRYO Science was launched in Poland after 2 years of extensive research and development. Parihar had an ideology towards owning the entire value chain which he labeled as the “TRS system” – which stands for Technology, Retail and Service. He believes that the most successful companies around the world have these 3 pillars in house, and it allows them to scale their businesses successfully without being reliant on other external companies.

8.1. What is your best achievement?

I believe that some achievements do not have a finish line and that is the case with ºCRYO. Which I believe goes from strength to strength every year as we grow to new countries.

Personally I am proud to have summited mountains like Kilimanjaro, Naya kanga and soon next year Aconcagua!

9. How does your business day start?

It usually starts by reading business news. My subscriptions currently include: Wall street journal, Bloomberg and the ‘Morning Brew’ Newsletter.

As well I like sending my emails to my teams before 8 am to make sure that everyone knows what they need to be achieving that day.

10. What was your best moment throughout your franchise career?

We had many amazing moments in our franchise career from opening the first franchise location to signing on new continents. However, most of our franchisees were able to have a positive EBIDTA after the first month of operation and I would say their reaction and feedback after the first month is one of the most satisfying moments as a franchisor.

11. Where do you see your brand in the next 5 years?

I believe that we will be present in almost all countries around the world. And we would be innovating our technology to becoming more effective and efficient than ever before.

12. Any tip for the reader who wants to be in the franchisee business?

We truly believe in the philosophy of taking care of our franchisees like they are family. And instill the values of ‘their success is our eventual success…’ in all our team members.

It’s obvious in franchising that the franchisee should follow the processes which have been tried and tested by the parent company, that is the main reason for franchising instead of starting your brand. But that being said it is still a partnership and it is just as important for us to listen to our franchisees and learn from their experiences and regional nuances.
