1. How did you enter the franchise business?

I enter the franchise business by getting in touch with the right people.

2. Where and how did the idea of your concept come from?

I was waiting for a flight when I was on a business trip six years ago. The flight was 2 hours late, and I was exhausted. While sitting on those uncomfortable seats, I figured out I could not connect to the Wifi. There was no place to relax or even sleep for half an hour. I had to return some essential calls, but I had no privacy. In the middle of all the chaos, I thought to myself – I would pay a fortune now to have a private place where I can relax, answer all the calls, e-mails and sleep for a little bit. And that is where the idea of this concept came up.

3. What inspired the brand name?

The brand name comes from the idea of private space at the airport where you can relax and take a nap; Airport sleeping pod – AIRPOD. Over time, as we researched, conducted product testing, and got first inquiries, we found that the airport is just one brand-related part. Shortly the city-scale strategy will spread the idea of privacy at airports to all public places in the city.

4. What is the story behind the brand’s logo?

airpod logoThe shape of the logo comes from the form of our product. We also took into account that the logo is clear, elegant, and, above all, that a person remembers it quickly. Through development, we have also found that the logo illustrates the window through which you can observe the surroundings regardless of the fact that you are in a private space. The shape of the capsule is timeless and can be incorporated very well into all marketing materials.

5. What makes your brand different from your competitors?

In the beginning, you only have an idea of something, and you try to draw the concept on paper, but along the way, you find that challenges are the ones that have to become part of everyday life. And how the idea and later the brand coped and still copes with the challenges makes AIRPOD premium. We have given great importance to the features and at the same time prepared the high-tech environment so that we can update it and adapt it to the market. We are setting the standard in this industry extremely high, and in parallel, we are preparing many more innovations about which we will inform you soon.

6. What are the essential qualities that you look for in a franchisee?

The company has come from the product testing and service phase to the phase where it has received an enormous demand. With the requests came many potential partners and locations where we can place the product. However, the team has planned a strategy to sustain the market expansion process and make sure that the business model becomes the one that will be innovative and interesting. We have come to the point where we want to give the opportunity to expand our service with the help of the franchise industry and get reliable partners who will help us manage top-level service and meet the expectations of users.

7. How long does it take, in an average, for your franchisee to realize their investment?

Our franchise business model enables our franchisee partners almost zero risks. The majority of costs that are connected to entering the market are covered from our side.

8. What was the major challenge you faced in your career, and how did you overcome it?

I admit there have been many challenges that have shaped my business path. I learned a lot from situation to situation, especially about the manufacturing, food, leisure, and fitness industries. Gathering strength when something needs to change overnight is the biggest challenge I have faced.

8.1 What is your best achievement?

In addition to a successful sports career in my youth and constant learning, my most outstanding achievement is that I have already moved the bar twice in the industries in which I had both my start-ups, and I will do the same with the AIRPOD.

9. How does your business day start?

My business day starts with well-ground fresh coffee and preparing a daily schedule. I usually listen to good music on the way to the office, where I have a meeting with the team first.

10. What was your best moment throughout your franchise career?

The best moment was figuring out this is the right way to expand the business.

11. Where do you see your brand in the next 5 years?

I have launched quite a few products on my business journey and brought a few brands to different markets. However, my biggest project so far – AIRPOD, is one that will not only represent a product but also establish a habit in people. I wish people will stop on the way between home and work, relax and achieve more for themselves. I want to accomplish this on a global level.

12. Any tips you want to impart to our readers who want to be in the franchise industry?
