The story of a good food franchise is usually simple but filled with determination and dedication, just like the story of Goodcents.
Joseph Bisogno, the founder, embodies what an entrepreneur should be. He began operating a lemonade business when he was six years old, like many young people, but it didn’t end there. He acquired an ice cream truck when he was 18 and later bought a gas station. After working for the McDonald’s Corp. for almost ten years, Bisogno founded Mr. Goodcents Subs & Pastas® in Lenexa, Kansas, in 1989. He took his experience and used it to improve his own brand.
Just two years later, the first Mr. Goodcents® franchise store debuted, and today there are more than 80 franchised locations around the country.
Bisogno’s vision is still carried out by the business, which is now known as Goodcents ® Deli Fresh Subs. They provide dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, and delivery of SOUP, PASTAS, AND SUBMARINE SANDWICHES including classic turkey, ham, and cheese or meatball, as well as specialty items like the Penny Club®, which is made with roast beef, ham, and turkey.
